We also provide career preparation for a smoother transition into the real world as a beauty professional.
Our beauty school is fully licensed through the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology. Our clinic areas are equipped with modern equipment and professional-grade products, which can be found in many high-end salons and spas.
As a career-focused beauty school, we teach business skills, communication skills, and how to apply for a job. Wanda Beauchamp owned and operated the Vicksburg School of Cosmetology from 1976 to 1984. Her daughters, Karoline and Donna, graduated from her cosmetology school and spent many years working as business partners in the industry. In 2004, under the guidance of her mother, Karoline Beauchamp Finch founded The Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics & Nails. In 2006, Karoline joined forces with her sister and long-time business partner, Donna Beauchamp Head, and added Cosmetology to the program lineup. The school’s name was updated to The Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics, Nails, & Cosmetology.
Our school earned national accreditation by the National Accrediting Agency for Career Arts & Sciences in 2007, and was certified by the U.S. Department of Education to offer Title IV funding in 2008.
In 2018, we relocated from our original location to a brand-new facility with over 8,500 square feet of space. Since 2004, Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics Nails & Cosmetology has enrolled nearly 2,500 students and has earned a respectable reputation throughout the state and region. Sadly, Karoline passed away in October of 2024, but the school continues to operate under Donna’s experienced leadership.
